The John Tung Foundation's guiding philosophy is to promote the "Respect for Life", and its main objective is the promotion of "Health for All" for the people of Taiwan. In the past 15 years, under the leadership of David Yen and the efforts of all colleagues at the foundation, the John Tung Foundation has become one of the most important organizations dedicated to public welfare in Taiwan.

The Korean Association of Smoking and Health was established in 1988 to promote and coordinate existing antismoking activities which had been carried out by various organizations and to contribute to the prevention of disease from smoking by devoting systematic and continuous efforts to reduce the smoking population in Korea .
